Yes the interest rate was about 14.% but I did it long enough to earn credit and get it refyed
Interest rate for applicants with bad credit can range anywhere from 15%-29%. It all depends on what State you live in and the specific details of the transaction. The people that end up regreting getting a loan are those that go overboard.

Girlfriend was doing it when I met her and she was paying 24% on an auto loan.
Basically, it was a $400/month car payment for 72 months on a 17K car.
If she would have paid that throughout the loan, that equals about $29,000 in total payments….for a $17,000 car.
It hurt to look at the interest being paid each month being higher than the principal being paid.
We quickly refinanced after she built up her credit a little.
